Purchase Parking Permits

UConn Area 1 parking permits authorize parking in the following locations:

  • Storrs Campus: Area 1, Area 2, Area 3 and “Any Paid” permit parking spaces.
  • Regional Campuses: Area 2 and “Any Paid” permit parking spaces.
  • Health Center campus: in Area 3 permit parking spaces.

UConn Area 2 parking permits authorize parking in the following locations:

  • Area 2 permit parking spaces on all University campuses.
  • Area 3 and “Any Paid” permit parking spaces on all University campuses, including those on the Health Center campus.

UConn Area 3 parking permits authorize parking in the following locations:

  • Storrs Campus: ONLY in locations posted for use by those with Area 3 permits.
  • Regional Campuses: Area 3 permit holders need to park in a PayByPhone space or parking garage on all Regional Campuses and pay the hourly/daily rate.
  • Health Center campus: in Area 3 permit parking spaces.

UConn Lot/Garage Specific Permits:

  • North or South Garage parking permits authorize parking in the designated garage as well as Area 2, Area 3 and “Any Paid” permit parking spaces on all University Campuses (Area 3 only on the Health Center Campus).
  • Area 1 Lot G and Area 1 Field House Patio parking permits authorize parking in the designated lot, as well as Area 2, Area 3 and “Any Paid” permit parking spaces on all University Campuses (Area 3 only on the Health Center Campus).

    The above employee permits do NOT authorize parking in:

    • Area 1 parking spaces on the Health Center campus
    • Load Zones unless specifically authorized by posted signage
    • Reserved and restricted spaces
    • student parking areas: use of student parking areas during academic breaks is typically authorized on the Storrs campus due to the reduced demand.
    • the Scovill Municipal Garage in Waterbury
    • the Storrs campus garages (EXCEPT Garage Specific Permits)
    • time-limited or metered spaces

    Visiting Regional Campuses

    • All permit holders EXCEPT Area 3 can park at the 1194 Washington Blvd surface lot when visiting the Stamford campus.
    • All permit holders EXCEPT Area 3 can park at the Convention Center Garage with 100% validation (details) when visiting the Downtown Hartford Campus.
    • All permit holders EXCEPT Area 3 can park on the first level of the Waterbury Garage when visiting the Waterbury campus.
