Title: Concussions: Recognition, Return to Play, Recovery

Learning Objectives: Participants will (be able to):
1. Identify strategies for effective recognition of a concussion.
2. Develop increased familiarity with assessment tools frequently used in concussion management.
3. Summarize key differences in evidence based practices given the new data presented with patient/case examples.
Target Audience: The Department of Medicine faculty, housestaff and students, though many topics will be of interest to housestaff, students and other faculty members within the University of CT School of Medicine and Dental Medicine.
Accreditation: The University of Connecticut School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The University of Connecticut School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
