Day Parking/Value Card Request Form

This form is intended for use by Departmental Event Parking Coordinators to request and purchase garage parking (Value Cards) for select guests and visitors.

Departmentally-purchased Value Cards may not be used to pay the garage parking fees of UConn employees.

Value Cards are prepaid garage parking tickets which can be used by departments to pay the CT Convention Center parking fees of their guests. Value Cards are only available for purchase by authorized departmental Event Parking Coordinators whose primary workplace in located on the Downtown Hartford campus.

Value Cards are intended for use by departmentally-hosted UConn visitors.

Value Cards are available for purchase from Propark for the fee of $6.00/each.

Each card authorizes parking between the hours of 6:00AM and 10:00PM on the day it is used, irrespective of the length of the parking session for which it pays.

THE BUSINESS PROCESS
1. The Event Parking Coordinator requests a SEMESTER supply of Value Cards for their department.
  Value Cards expire at the end of each semester on the last day of the semester in which they are purchased.
  
  Unused Value Cards must be returned to Propark within five (5) business days for a full refund; the billable amount will be adjusted prior to being invoiced; no refunds are available thereafter.

2. The visitor is instructed by the host department to park in the CT Convention Center Garage.
3. The visitor will be required to take a parking ticket from the dispenser as they enter the Convention Center garage.
4. The host department provides the visitor with a Value Card in exchange for the ticket they received when the entered the garage, before returning to the garage following their visit.
5. Upon exiting garage, the visitor insert the Value Card into the parking gate equipment: The parking gate will open and the guest will be able to exit the Convention Center garage without having to pay a fee.

Value Cards will be available for pick-up from the Propark parking office in the Convention Center Garage. This is true even when the Value Cards being issued will provide access to another parking facility, such as the North Front Street Garage or CT Science Center Garage.

Value Cards will expire on the last day of the month during which they were ordered.
