PayByPhone Parking is an easy-to-use mobile parking payment option and here’s how it works…

Park in a PayByPhone space; enter the posted location number, your license plate number and the amount of time you expect to be parked into the mobile app.  That’s it!  Off you go!

Don’t have a smartphone? Sign up at paybyphone.com and then call the toll-free number posted in the PayByPhone location to start your parking session.

The app works on iPhone and Android devices.

The app is free but you do need to sign up for the service.  You will need to provide the license plate number(s) of your vehicle(s) and credit card information during the sign-up process.  The price for parking can vary by location; just like at parking meters.  Parking rates will be presented to app users.  If you choose to park in the location, the parking charge will be posted to your credit card. No coins are needed!

If you find yourself running later than expected, just extend your parking session using your smartphone!

Never worry about running out of time, PayByPhone can send a reminder five minutes before your parking session ends.  Reminders are optional; carrier rates may apply.

PayByPhone users also do not have to worry about dashboard permits or decals.  Enforcement officers can check your vehicle’s plate number and confirm your authorized parking session in real-time.

PayByPhone parking permissions in surface lots are enforced 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, unless otherwise posted.  Parking fee payments are not required to park after 5:00 p.m. weekdays or on weekends in PayByPhone designated surface lots.

On the Storrs campus, parking garage rates are charged 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
