Commuter Student Eligibility
All UConn commuter students are eligible to purchase available Commuter parking permits.
Commuter student parking permit holders are authorized to park in locations posted for use by either the “Commuter” or “Any Paid” permit types.
Commuter student permits do not authorize overnight parking.
Regional Commuter permit privileges authorize parking…
- On all Regional campus Commuter Student permit lots
- In either the Convention Center Garage or Science Center Garages in downtown Hartford
- On Lots C and Lot J on the Storrs campus
Substitute Vehicle Passes…
Obtain a Substitute Vehicle Permit (request form) when your regular permitted vehicle is unavailable and you must drive another to campus.
Parking Rules and Regulations
Please familiarize yourself with the general parking permit regulatory information before requesting your University parking permit and privileges.
- The privileges authorized by Commuter permits and Garage key cards are non-transferable and cannot be delegated.
- Any misuse of a University permit may result in the revocation of its holder’s parking privileges.
- Individuals found in control of a vehicle in which a lost or stolen permit is displayed may be subject to arrest and/or University sanctions.
Graduate and undergraduate students are considered “students” even when they are employed by the University; these students are therefore ineligible to purchase Employee permit types.
