Airport Shuttle

UConn Transportation can now, once again, take you from Storrs to Bradley Airport or from Bradley Airport to Storrs! We will pick you up at your residence hall, drop you at the applicable airline and off you’ll go to your vacation or home-cooking destination! When you come back to school or come to Storrs for Orientation, we will pick you up at baggage claim and bring you right to campus!

The cost is much less than what off-campus companies are charging and you have the comfort of knowing you are being driven by a State of Connecticut employee (normally one of your fellow students) who is fully-insured, in a vehicle that is also fully-insured!

  • Both the Bradley Airport and Union Station shuttles operate throughout the year, except Christmas day and Thanksgiving day.  With enough notice, there is not normally a day in which we will not be able to provide transportation for you!
  • Reservations should be made at least one week in advance, unless it is an emergency
    • Short-notice, non-emergency requests can often be accommodated but we ask that you please try to avoid such requests
  • Services are offered for people traveling on official UConn business and/or students traveling for breaks or other times throughout the year
    • Please do not ask the driver to make additional stops on campus, as they (mostly students) are normally on tight schedules themselves. We will be glad to pick you up at your last campus stop but please don’t ask the driver to stop at the Co-op, Dairy Bar, etc.
    • In addition to what is mentioned above, we will also pick-up and drop-off people coming to Storrs for Freshman and Transfer Orientation, PhD candidate interviews, visiting professors, guest speakers, etc.
      • If there is ever a question of whether you or someone else can use the service, just call or email us to ask!
  • All pick-ups and drop-offs take place on the Storrs campus (including the Nathan Hale Inn) or at an apartment complex we currently service with our bus and AVS services
  • All pick-ups at Bradley Airport will take place outside the Baggage Claim area.
    • Sorry but we will not pick-up or drop-off at individual homes
  • Cost is $50 one-way and $100 round-trip, per person
    • Group rates are available for three or more passengers traveling and paying together
    • We take cash, checks, Husky Bucks, or FRS
    • Payment must be made before the services are rendered
  • All drivers are state employees who, by the codes of conduct, cannot accept tips

Every effort is made to remain on schedule. However, circumstances sometimes develop beyond UCONN Transportation’s control, such as weather and/or travel delays. UCONN Transportation is not responsible for late arrivals, schedule changes, inconvenience from delayed service to any point or destination.

Suggestions to families:
  • There are always other options available. Taxi cab companies are available at the airport at all times. If for some reason Transportation Services is not available to pick you up after a late arrival please go to the Ground Transportation Counter (in the baggage claim area) and transportation will be provided for you at a fee of around $80.00 from Bradley to Storrs. In some circumstances situations do arise and you may need to find alternate transportation so please travel prepared for such instances.
