Obtaining/Renewing a Permit

Regular Payroll Employees

Employee permits are automatically renewed on-line every two years in March for permits effective June 1st. Permit fees are payroll deducted according to permit type. If you do not wish to renew your permit, you will need to take action to avoid further payroll deduction.  The permits are distributed with paychecks on the last payday in May.  New employees can register and purchase their permit in the Parking Services Office throughout the year.

New employees will need to provide the following information when registering for a parking permit:

  • Offer Letter/Payroll Authorization Form
  • Current vehicle registration
  • Valid driver’s license

All UCONN part-time or special payroll employees that become full-time must come to the Parking Services Office to fill out a payroll deduction form.

Employees on Special Payroll

Employees on special payroll cannot have their permit fees payroll deducted. They must come to the Parking Services Office to purchase a permit.  Permits will be issued according to the terms of their offer letter. Payment is required at time of permit issuance.

Employees on Special Payroll will need to provide the following information when registering for a parking permit:

  • Offer Letter/Payroll Authorization Form
  • Current vehicle registration
  • Valid driver’s license

All UCONN part-time or special payroll employees that become full-time must come to the Parking Services Office to fill out a payroll deduction form.

Students working as a special payroll employee are not eligible for any type of employee parking permit. Their student status overrides their employee status.
